The new policy of the state parks is to accept no food packages. Silver Bay, Finland, Tofte, and Grand Marais are the only towns along the way that have grocery stores, but they are all within 3 miles of the trail. Limited items are available at Lutsen. You can mail yourself packages in care of General Delivery to post offices along the way. Towns with post offices are Two Harbors, Beaver Bay, Silver Bay, Finland, Schroeder, Tofte, Lutsen, Grand Marais, and Hovland. Another good way to get packages is to use the Superior Shuttle. shuttle or 218-834-5511. You can meet the shuttle at a trailhead to get your packages. Sawbill Outfitters in Tofte also accepts packages.
